-
- *ALWAYS* make a backup of your scripts!!! No amount of technical support will
- help you if you don't backup your data. :)
-
- Here's a tip, I always make it a habit to rename the script by date or by
- version (i.e. Main.6-8-96.script or Main.V2.script). In this manner, you will
- have at least one backup to refer to if something goes wrong.
-
- Also, if you make an "Optimized" version of the script (available only in
- our MM400 and IC500 products), archive both the original and optimized in
- a seperate directory, by project or client. I also name the optimized
- script, like this example, "Main.6-8-96.opt.script".
-
- While we're at it, here is how I name file types for easier identification:
-
- Myfile.16.iff.brush - A 16 color IFF brush
- Myfile.256.iff.bkg - A 256 color IFF background
- Myfile.22k.s.8.snd - A 22 kHz sample rate, stereo, 8-bit (IFF 8SVX) sound file
- Myfile.15k.m.8.snd - A 15 kHz sample rate, mono, 8-bit sound file
- Myfile.64.8i.anim - A 64 color, Anim8i format, animation
-
- Hope these tips help.
